Record sales for May 2005
Hyundai Motor America announced record sales for May 2005. At 40,416, this represents the best May sales in company history.
Leading the way was the Hyundai Tucson SUV (pictured left), with a single-month sales record of 5,723 sales.
"Despite the challenging automotive sales environment, we continue to set all-time sales records month-over-month," said Hyundai's Vice-President, National Sales Ed Bradley.
"Consumers are responding positively to the Grand Opening of our all-new $1.1 billion manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama earlier this month, and the introduction of our completely redesigned 2006 Sonata which is the first Hyundai vehicle to be built in the U.S."
In the US, Hyundai buyers are protected by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a 5-year/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 7-year/unlimited-mile anti-perforation warranty and 5-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance protection.
Here in the UK, Hyundai offer a 5 year unlimited mileage warranty, 3 yrs roadside assistance and a 6 year anti-perforation warranty which is still head and shoulders above any other manufacturer.
