Hyundai Europe take over UK operations
Hyundai Europe will take over the UK operations in early July 2005. Hyundai UK have always been aware that manufacturer ownership would happen at some stage and, following the recent change in ownership of RAC plc, HME has now decided the time is appropriate.
During the 12 years of Lex/RAC ownership, the Hyundai franchise has gone from strength to strength in the UK and a very firm foundation has been laid for its future growth and success. That has been due, in no small measure, to the contribution which has been made by the dealer network.
As part of assuming control, HME has expressed its intention to restructure the current Management Board and establish its own team. With effect from June 30th, 3 Board Members David Walker, John Lawrence and Claire Balmforth will be leaving the company.
